Canada Post Named Most Iconic Brand in Canada
OTTAWA (April 30, 2009) – Canada Post is pleased to be named the Most Iconic Brand in Canada.
In an independent survey by Brand Finance Canada, Canada Post placed ahead of other well-known and respected companies. The survey, contained in the "Canada's Most Valuable Brands 2009" report issued today by Brand Finance Canada, is based on consumer research into those brands that "are seen by Canadians to represent a special part of Canadian culture."
Stamps to "lick" global warming
OTTAWA (April 9, 2009) – Today, Canada Post issued two domestic rate stamps (54-cent) as part of an international postal awareness campaign on the effects of global warming. The theme of the campaign is "Preserve the Polar Regions and Glaciers." Canada Post's contribution to this omnibus issue focuses on the risk to Arctic animal habitats.

New savings plan targets families of children with disabilities

Canada's new Registered Disability Savings Plan is a tax-free vehicle to help parents save for the long-term needs of children with severe disabilities.
The deadline for setting up a 2008 plan – which was announced by Finance Minister Jim Flaherty at Bloorview Kids Rehab in Toronto in December – has been extended to March 2, 2009.
